Cotton Ornament - Pewter Cotton Boll Gifts

A local farmer brought me fresh cotton from her field, and we spent time talking about the long history of cotton and the important role it has played across North Carolina for generations.

After studying the natural shape of the cotton boll and the slight bends of the stem, I worked to capture both the strength and softness of the plant in pewter. From the weathered lines of the stalk to the soft opened cotton, I hoped this design would honor one of North Carolina’s most recognizable agricultural symbols and historic cash crops.
